So, what has been happening? Have you been feeling like story telling has been challenging for you and for the development of your blog. You have a lot to talk about, but when it comes down to write it, you can really get it right?
Its OK, it happens to all of us. The key for good story telling and audience engagement, is to KEEP IT COOL.
Don’t get mad, don’t get stressed, just think of what message you are trying to convey, for me, the key is to rehearse the story in my head, and think what I want my audience to get from what I am saying? What is the main message?
Story telling is no rocket science, that is what I am trying to tell you.
The key for a successful post, is confidence. People like when bloggers know what they are talking about, even if you don’t, pretend you do, embrace it.
You must be thinking, what is she talking about? Is she telling me to lie? NO, I am not! I am trying to make you understand that the best, and easiest way to tell a story and keep the audience engaged is by…
TALKING ABOUT SOMETHING YOU KNOW.
Yes! Sometimes people find this random topics and think that the audience is going to be interested on reading these crazy words no one has ever seen before. NO. People, like me, and you, like to read real blogs with real content.
Then again, what is the point of your blog? To express yourself, share whatever you feel like sharing. The most famous and successful bloggers write with passion, showing feeling and their own engagement towards the post.
The audience like posts with personality, it doesn’t matter if they agree or not with what you are saying. If you are engaged on your own post, people will react the same way.
It is like that saying, “If you smile to the world, the world smiles back at you.”
The post has to be full of you, and you might think “How would they know?” THEY KNOW, your audience can tell when you are engaged on the blog post, or when you are just typing words to fill in the space.
So now that you know the main keys for successful story telling (confidence, passion, personality, and to talk about something you know).
Make sure to stay away from the boring tales, diary, recap from the day, unless you had the craziest, most exciting experience that you need to share with the world.
And you already thought about it a million times and agreed that your audience will be interested on reading, then that day becomes an exception and you can share the experience.
